Apple "Chips" with Mulled Yogurt Dip
Greek yogurt can be one of your best friends when trying to feed your body the best.  But if you are like me and find plain yogurt just too bitter, this is for you!  Full of tasty spices without adding sugar the sweetness of the apples makes this just right!

Makes 1 serving (perfect for snack!)
1 medium apple
1/2 cup fat free plain greek yogurt
1/8 tsp. PURE vanilla extract
2 Tblsp. RAW almond butter
1 Tea bag of mulling spices (Try R.W. Knudsen Organic Mulling Spices)
Pumpkin pie spice

Put Yogurt in a bowl, add vanilla and almond butter.  Cut open spice bag and add that to the mixture.  Using a silicone spatula, mix all ingredients until smooth.  Rinse apple - DO NOT PEEL!  You need all those great nutrients!  cut the apple in half, and remove the core, now slice into thin "chips" 

If you want to get fancy, go ahead and stick the chips in the bowl around the edges to make a flower (thats what I did, makes snacking that much more special)  Sprinkle with Pumpkin pie spice and ENJOY!  Just Dip those apples in the dip and eat up!

Wanna try something different?  Mix up your nut butter - Give Hazelnut butter a try!  But remember only ingredient should be hazelnuts!



AWESOME Banana Bread Smoothie

I am not a banana lover, but this smoothie tastes just like fresh Banana bread!  So YUMMY!

This is a great smoothie to make as a meal replacement.  When buying almond butter, be sure get one that only has one ingredient; ALMONDS.  If you want to add more protein, use 1/2 non fat greek yogurt and 1/2 milk instead of all milk.

Makes 1 smoothie

1 banana
1 cup Fat Free (skim) milk
1 chi tea bag (I use TAZO Organic Chi Tea)
2 Tblsp. Raw Creamy Almond Butter
handful of ice

Put banana, ice and milk in blender.  Add almond butter, then cut open the tea bag and empty contents into blender (yes, empty the contents of the tea bag into the blender and toss the bag out, trust me it will be AWESOME!).

Blend well and pour into a glass and ENJOY!
